Business Plan Competition

  • The SMME Business Plan competition is aimed at providing financial support to growth potential entrepreneurs, to help take their businesses to the next level. It is targeted at:
  • • Young entrepreneurs whose businesses are 51 % black owned and owner managed.
  • • The enterprise must be a minimum of 2 years active in business with previous year financials.
  • • It must have valid compliance and statutory documents including a tax clearance, registration certificate (CIPC), BEE Certificate and a valid Business Bank Account.
  • The prizes for the competition are as follows:
  • 1st Prize is R50 000
  • 2nd Prize is R20 000
    • 3rd Prize is R10 000
  • Winners will each receive a 1-year business mentorship with the SAICA Enterprise Development.
  • The SAICA Business Mentorship will focus on
  • 1. Leadership Development
  • 2. Business Skills Mastery
  • 3. Financial Skills Excellence
  • A promising entrepreneur in the ICT Sector will also get a 3 year incubation opportunity with Softstart Business Technology Incubator.
  • For entries, entrepreneurs can submit their proposals to businessplan@smme.africa
  • Closing date for submission of entries for the Business Plan competition is 20 July 2019
